In 2017 my short story “Die Mystic en die vlieg” was selected to form part of the PEN Afrikaans New Voices workshop. I was one of three authors chosen for this workshop and received online feedback from well-known authors, Izak de Vries and Danie Marais.
“Die Mensfabriek” is the first of several stage plays I have written for Helpmekaar Kollege in Johannesburg. This production made it to the Top 15 of ATKV-Tienertoneel in 2017. “Die Niks” stage play for which we (The Loft Puppet Co.) built puppets was also included in the Top 15 that year.
In 2020 Marelize Viljoen, Stefan Benade, Karli Heine and I were involved in a short film, “Stuur groete vir Fanie”, selected to premiere at the Netwerk24 KORTOM-kortfilm festival. This initiative was launched during the pandemic and provided a platform where young artists can create and showcase their work.
